My wife and I left BNA airport after a long flight and were looking for somewhere quick to eat before our drive back to Knoxville. After reading the reviews of a few places we decided Waffle House was the lesser of the evils. Most of the prior reviews spoke of terrible customer service, our experience couldn't have been any further from that. When we entered we were greeted By some welcomes and "How are ya'll doin' today", as any good Tennesseean would expect. After a few minutes of chit-chat with the nice gentleman named Paul, he promptly took our orders and even made some great suggestions. I'm not sure if they have hired new people since the past reviews or people are just a little more ornery in the middle part of the state, but our service was courteous and kind.

When someone comes in an asks you a simple question on "how long would a Togo order take?" And you answer "a minute" rudely and without a smile....you no longer get my business. A simple "what would you like to order?" And/or "I'll get that right out to you" would suffice.

OK I have been to waffle Houses before and I like the food and price. But like anything the people make it . there were 10 employees, and not a good attitude among them. Sorry

It's Waffle House. There isn't a better place to eat in North America that you can get all over the place. Sure, there are specialty places in some cities that MIGHT have "better" food, but are they open in 25 states? Are they open 24 hours? Have they been around for over 50 years? When they can do any of those things, I'll consider saying they are the best place to eat in North America. Until then, Waffle House stands on top.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS WAFFLE HOUSE!!! I love the food of the restaurant itself, but I have never been treated so unfairly. When I walked in, no one spoke to me and I was served by an older waitress who really didn't want to have anything with me. She was so nice to the other customers ("Hi honey, how can I help you) and I had to wait until someone else was available to assist me with my order. Like I said, I really do enjoy Waffle House, but unfortunately, the one close in my proximity, has horrible customer service and I will never step foot in there again and maybe not another one either.

I always love eating here! Its clean, the service is good and quick. Between this one and the Lebanon one, I will never tire of Waffle House. Our server Jordan was a blast to have. He really knows how to keep everything moving. He checked in on us fairly regularly. They must have fired some of the rude people, because I didnt see anyone standing around chatting.

Never had a problem with eating at wuffle house till today. The staff was just so rude and disrespectful. We had been sitting for 15 mins until we ask for service but all we got was just some rude server with an attitude who raise her voice at us telling us to wait because we weren't the only ones there but they seem to have time to be standing around getting there daily gossip, Which seem more important then doing their job.

Each time we have visited this restaurant the staff seem more intent on talking among themselves than in customer service. The food was fine, the service slow, the attitude poor. I'll still be eating at Waffle House, but not this one.

Worst Waffle House I have ever walked into. Sat down at a booths and 15 minutes later still sitting, as they talked and drank soda ,servers are inconsiderate and should look for other work that doesn't involve public service. Keeping driving you'll find a better one a few exits away!!

The service was the worst I have ever experienced at a Waffle House. The only saving grace was that the food was actually good. DO NOT go to this Waffle House on the weekend. They're severely understaffed!

Nothing changes from waffle house to waffle house. It's consistent, comforting and reliable. Good coffee. Friendly service. This particular one was a little less clean than other Waffle House I had visited However, the waitress greeted us with a smile, chatted us up, and started our days just right. I decided to get hashbrowns "all the way" which is pretty much as it sounds -- with everything they offer throw in. I wouldn't do it with everything again -- it's just too sloppy with the gravy and chili! I am a glutton, though, so it was all good! The booths are small, and it's not too friendly if you have a young family (I have three kids under 5). The walking area is tight, and I didn't feel comfortable with the high chair hanging out in the aisle.

Love love love WH - my boys (2 & 4) and I go there every Saturday. We walk in the door, sit down, and my order is on the grill w/o having to order (we've been there enough, every waitress knows our order by heart). WH goes out of their way to entertain my boys and the manager always has lollypops ready for the boys when we leave. The food is okay (eggs and bacon is hard to be great), but it is in the hospitality and family way we are treated that keeps us coming back each Saturday.

Coming from California I have never been to a Waffle House chain. The service was friendly and the food was excellent compare to what I can get in a diner chain similar to it in California. The Hash Brown All the Way is a must try. Waffle Syrup is great. The ham is a bit saltier than my taste buds can handle. But over all. Great place to grab a quick bite. :

Staff here today was a lot of fun! They even convinced me to try the new apple waffle. It was pretty good I just wish it had been cooked a little longer so it was nice and crispy! The cook was extreme entertaining to watch and listen to.
